Casey VanPutten holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in school counseling. She has worked in dual language programs, special needs programs, and as a high school guidance counselor. She is extremely passionate about helping others and creating awareness for alternative healing modalities.
As an Accredited Certified EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Practitioner, she is now teaching the tool that not only changed her life, but the lives of those around her. EFT, also known as "tapping," has been scientifically proven to reduce stress on the body and lower cortisol levels. It is a combination of ancient Chinese medicine and modern day psychology. When certain acupoints are stimulated by a person tapping on them with their fingers, the amydala (stress alarm) is turned off. This allows the body to think differently about events that may have created fear or anxiety in the past such as: giving a presentation, taking an exam, or flying on an airplane. It can also bring healing to events in the past such as the death of a loved one, an assault, divorce, or the witnessing of a tragedy.
EFT is an amazing and effective tool, but Casey also recognizes that we are all unique and heal in our own ways. Because of this, she has created a project known as her "Holistic Healing Hub Crawl." In exchange for a session with local practitioners, she experiences different holistic healing modalities/ tools and writes about them in her blog. This allows for practitioners to promote what they do and the benefits of it, and for readers to gain awareness of what they might expect in a session and how it might help them.
Casey is now accepting clients at Flourish on Thursday mornings and evenings. She is also available to present to schools, organizations, and clubs.
